Winter? What winter?

Since it seems that winter is afraid of New England this year I've decided to prepare for spring a tad earlier than usual. I've been sewing up lots of adorable pillowcase dresses for little girls ages 12 months to 5 years. I use fabric or twill ties so they stay tied while still looking adorable (ribbon is pretty but will never stay tied). I'm also working on some fun new handbag designs, actually they're more tote-ish than handbag-ish because of the cross-chest, adjustable strap, that I absolutely ♥love♥ because they are hands-free!

Holiday sales have been up this season! I decided early on to bring out my Smitten hand-holding mitten for Christmas instead of holding it back until February. My Smittens are made from super soft blizzard fleece in basic colors so your guy won't be embarrassed in public with a girly, heart-encrusted mitten swinging between you. I've started making some from upcycled wool sweaters that have the extra warmth required for really cold climes, and they are an eco-friendly option. Visit the home of Deb Sullivan Originals at www.sewcutebydebbie.etsy.com to see what the fuss is all about.

I'm new to this blogging thing and I hope to have the ability to sell my items and patterns directly from here soon.
